During my recent business trip to Bellagio, I had the pleasure of staying at the charming Hotel Excelsior Splendide. Nestled in an exquisite Art Nouveau building, the hotel offers breathtaking views of Lake Como, especially from the terrace where I enjoyed sipping limoncello spritzes while soaking up the sun with a colleague. The breakfast spread was a delightful fusion of Italian tradition and American flair, with expertly cooked eggs, fresh seasonal fruit, and pastries that made morning meals a true treat. Simone from the bar added a personal touch to our stay, crafting delicious cocktails that we savored on our balcony, each sip enhanced by the gentle lake breeze. What could be even better? A bit more clarity on the hotel's amenities upon arrival would have been helpful-like directions to the local tourist office-though the friendly staff were always ready to assist. The Excelsior Splendide encapsulated everything I adore about contemporary Italian hospitality while making it feel like a home away from home.
